FlexiKold Ice Packs: Frequently Asked Questions
What makes FlexiKold different from other ice packs?
FlexiKold was the original double-sealed seam pack, built on our own proprietary gel formula. The combination of double-sealed seams, heavy-duty nylon, and true cold-temperature flexibility is what sets it apart from the cheaper packs that came after it.
What is a double-sealed seam and why does it matter?
Most ice packs use a single seam that can split, leak, and fail after repeated freezing and thawing. FlexiKold seals every seam twice, so it holds up to the pressure and temperature swings that destroy lesser packs. We were the original double-sealed seam pack.
How durable is the FlexiKold pack?
Very. The shell is made from heavy-duty nylon, not the thin plastic that punctures the first time it snags on something. The heavy nylon resists tears and stands up to daily use for years.
Does it get stiff when frozen?
No. This is where most packs fail. FlexiKold stays flexible when frozen down to -15°F, so it molds to your knee, shoulder, or lower back instead of sitting rigid against the skin. That full contact is what delivers real cold therapy where you need it.
Isn't FlexiKold just like all the other gel packs out there?
No. FlexiKold runs on its own proprietary gel formula, developed in-house, not borrowed from a supplier or reverse-engineered from another pack. Many competitors have tried to copy the look, shape, and marketing language, but they're working backward from a finished product they didn't design. We built ours from the ground up, which is why the imitations have never matched it.
